Babolat Syntec Pro X1 Replacement Tennis Grip - White

Most players change strings often and grips rarely. That is a mistake, because the grip is the only part of the racquet a player actually touches. The Babolat Syntec Pro X1 is the grip used by the majority of players on the professional tour, including Rafael Nadal, precisely because it gets that connection right.

The defining quality of the Syntec Pro is its 1.9mm thickness, which is 10% thinner than a standard grip. That reduced thickness lets the player feel the underlying bevels of the racquet handle more directly, which translates into faster, more confident grip changes during rallies and a clearer sense of racquet face angle on contact. This is the same grip Babolat factory-fits to its Pure Drive and Aero racquets, so installing it is effectively restoring the exact factory feel once the original grip has worn down.

The surface is engineered to be tacky without becoming slick. The Syntec Pro is one of the most absorbent grips in the Babolat range, drawing sweat away from the hand to maintain traction throughout long points and full matches. For players who sweat heavily, adding an overgrip on top is recommended for extra absorption, though the base grip alone performs well for the majority of players in normal conditions.

The feel Babolat engineered into this grip sits in a deliberate middle ground: neither too direct nor too cushioned. Players get genuine, honest feedback from the racquet handle, without the harshness that an ultra-thin grip can produce or the disconnect that comes with a thick, overly padded one. That balance is exactly what competitive players want when control and feel matter more than comfort alone.

Each pack includes the grip itself, adhesive backing and finishing tape, making installation straightforward. The whole process takes a few minutes and requires no special tools or expertise — wind the grip onto the handle, secure with the included tape, and the racquet is ready to play.

Available in a range of colourways including Black/White, Black/Yellow, Black/Silver, Blue, White and Yellow. Sold as a single grip (x1).
