Product details
Some juniors outgrow their racquet before they outgrow their ambitions. The Babolat Pure Drive Junior 25 Gen11 keeps up.
Built on the same DNA as Babolat's iconic adult Pure Drive line, this 25-inch frame is engineered around the HTR (High-performance Tubular Resin) lay-up system - a construction change that adds power and frame stability when a young player starts swinging faster and harder. FSI Power technology pairs diamond-shaped grommets with optimised string spacing to open up a genuinely large sweet spot, so off-centre hits still travel with pace rather than dying mid-court.
At 240g unstrung and 63.5cm long, the racquet sits in the right range for juniors who've outgrown 23" frames but aren't ready for a full adult size. The 98in² head keeps things manageable and accurate; the 16×17 string pattern, strung between 42-51lbs, gives young players a good feel for how spin and depth work together. Perfect for a 60-foot orange ball court, and a natural stepping stone toward the full Pure Drive once they're ready.
Aggressive juniors - kids who want to swing through the ball, not just push it back -will get the most from this frame.
FAQ
What age is the Pure Drive Jr 25 Gen11 designed for?
It's built for juniors aged roughly 9–10, or players standing approximately 50–55 inches tall. If your child has already moved past orange ball play and is comfortable on a full court, the next size up (26") may suit them better.
What is FSI Power technology?
FSI Power uses diamond-shaped grommets and adjusted string spacing to enlarge the effective sweet spot. It means that even imperfect contact — which is common in young players — still produces meaningful pace rather than a dead ball.
What is the HTR system?
HTR (High-performance Tubular Resin) is Babolat's updated frame lay-up for the Gen11 junior range. It improves power transfer and frame stability specifically when a junior player starts developing a faster, more committed swing.
Does the racquet come strung?
Yes
When should my child move up to a 26" or adult racquet?
A good rule of thumb: when a junior is consistently playing on a full 78-foot court and finding the 25" frame too light or easy to swing, it's time to move up. Most players make that transition around age 10–12, though it varies by physique and development.
