A dampener does one job: reduce the harsh string vibrations that travel from the string bed into the shaft after contact. The Babolat Strike Damp does it without taking anything else away.
Designed specifically to complement the 4th generation Pure Strike series, the Strike Damp sits in the bottom of the string bed and absorbs the unwanted post-impact vibration that, over time, contributes to arm discomfort and reduces the clarity of feel on each shot. The key design principle is balance: reduce vibration without muting the genuine feel of the racquet on the ball. Players who use the Strike Damp retain the responsive, direct feedback the Pure Strike is known for, with the harsh edge taken off.
The dampener is available in the Pure Strike's signature Red and White, and each pack contains one of each colour, so players can match the dampener to their outfit or switch between colours as often as they like. Fitting and replacing takes seconds — the dampener clips securely into the cross strings at the base of the string bed and stays in place reliably through full match play.
